Southern fried chicken with Shells and cheese.

Dang wind down here, I had to turn the heat up more to keep the flame from blowing out on the camp stove.

Delicious ...... not sure where you are at. Not camping right? Just cooking outdoors for whatever reason?

Salad and vegetable soup for Friday due to Lent. No big deal as I do have light days in terms of eating usually wedged between two heavy days. Some kind of meat and potatoes for tomorrow for sure.

Just thought you might want to know...
The whole "fish on Friday" thing was a church law passed by a pope around the 8th century to protect the Italian fishermen. Had nothing to do with faith or respect for the savior. And, when St. Patrick's day falls on a Friday during lent, the pope grants "special dispensation" so that the Irish can have their corned beef and cabbage. Follow the money.
BTW, I was raised Catholic with all of their rules and regulations of the time. Had enough and moved on.

Don't have pics but had homemade Habanero chili cheese burgers, puts a nice warm glow in your belly. just make sure you tie down the blankets at night.

"And this is 'Tractor related' because?"

Oh Bobby, you are so funny! LOL

Ya know, I didn't want to spend a lot of time on you.....so I just did a quick search and found this post that YOU made in Tractor Talk....Could you please tell us how your post was tractor related???

Great looking Dinner Greg1959 .........:)

In 2004 I was sitting right about were you are to night....

Bob...Snow birding in Arizona...

I've never been bothered by that as I have always found tasty things to eat on Friday. Regardless of the time of year if I am eating out on Friday I will order haddock a majority of the time along with creamy cole slaw and fries. If anything I am bothered by the lack of pork but that is an edict by the wife.

Tractors fitted the ground and planted the wheat for the pasta. The same with the tractors to produce the corn and soybeans for the chicken. Corn, soybeans, and hay for the cows to produce the milk which made the cheese.

We had pizza. Mostly I am wondering where the band of --- are that jumped all over me last year for calling the evening meal "dinner". Seemed to really upset a couple guys.

I love guys with way too much time on their hands, good on ya catching me out. My tractor (do you have one?) is 5' away from the 'fridge'. ;^)

Very good, tender and juicy. I thought I had some Tony Catchers Creole seasoning but I was out. That would have made it perfect.

I hate calling it dinner . Dinner is a 12 noon and ya hadn't better be late for it either ! But what you call it makes no difference to me

I will agree. I was raised same way. Gave up on it too ! More of a big buiseness than anything! My big thing was them keeping track of monetary donations, and asking for more all the time ! More seemed to go to the local leaders to fund their not so frugal lifestyle. Wife's family has many "leaders" too of a different type. While most are ok there are some that aren't. I feel that I don need to go to a special place and be told by certain people to be a certain way and closer to a bigger person. Hope you understand my post. Trying not to say the wrong thing here so I don't poof it !

Greg, keep the posts coming, I sure enjoy them, especially those "tractor" meals!

I did not know that. I had a tuna salad sandwich for SUPPER last night . Then finished off hamburger macaroni hot dish. Whoops. I never worry about it. Hard to be Catholic now days. Want to just clobber (jail) a bunch of the so called leaders.

I feel the same way, but if you go into a restaurant around here at noon and ask for a dinner menu you are going to pay twice the price you would have paid if you just had LUNCH! :)
