A well-meaning weather request

With winter weather still clobbering parts of the country, it's interesting to see who is getting what kind of punishment. But it would really be helpful if posts included a location (if not obvious from user name). "We got 15 inches of snow overnight" is much more significant if the location is Florida or Georgia than if it's northern Minnesota. A comment on weather with no clue about location loses a lot of its meaning. Just my opinion.

agreed rossow, how much snow would you like? I can send you a bunch more from sunny alberta

Showcrop ..... so if a guy fills that out and then someone wants to find out where he lives, he has to go
into the profile and check that out? I'm not even sure how to check out a profile to be honest. And if
there are 15 replies to a weather post, that would get a bit tedious I think. I think Rossow made a good
suggestion, at least for me it was, especially for things that change quite often like weather, gas prices,
and so on.

we just got the most snow all winter here in Manitoba. about 6 inches. VERY heavy and I pushed some up with 4230 going down the road. It was 2 ft above the hood before it fell back onto the bucket it was so sticky;.

I know some of you are still stuck in Classic View, but in Modern view, your location shows up below your name.

CJ's reply above proves how simple it is right in the reply without having to Google, search maps, search profiles, or contact the nearest government office, CIA or FBI. As soon as I read his reply, I close my eyes and visualize his beautiful province of Manitoba.

Absolutely. I don't know why members don't register their location. That's the only thing I find modern view good for- is looking for someone's location.

Yes it would be tedious if that was what you had to do but you don't.

Classic view used to do that untill they went modern and droped it. Anouther thing modern was good for, getting rid of items we wanted and used. They were going to drop classic when they brought out modern untill they found out most of the posters would be gone. Just about all the posters that like modern were not on when it was only classic. And I was on here before you could register a handle.
