Home made wooden tractor toy - Cockshutt 30

I think this photo should show up OK. Lots of interesting toys showing up over the past month or so here on Tractor Talk. About 20 years ago I fixed up a '47 Cockshutt 30 and then thought to make a model toy out of wood. There weren't a lot of steel ones in the marketplace and those that were available were pretty pricey. I was going to paint it red and yellow but when I finished, I liked it as it was and never did get around to getting that part done. Fenders and seat were made out of tin, made a home made steering wheel out of a washer. The wheels were store bought. It's about 8" in length.

Hi, very nice job! Sue looks like a Cockshutt. I have never seen a real one. No dealer around where I grew up. We did have a Cockshutt sickle mower though and also a Frost and Wood. Ed Will Oliver BC

Now that looks nice. So many wood toys are made and just look generic and half arse. That looks very nice and made with care. I like.

That is a pretty good likeness of the round nose Cockshutts. Better than anything I could make. I still have the remains of the plastic model 30 my dad got for me when I was way too young to value it. That plastic 30 endured a lot of punishment and I literally drove the wheels off it. I think I have posted pictures of it here before.
