Having Trouble With My Chevy Kodiak....

...and I figured this was the best place to ask for a fix!
The trouble is - the right turn signal refuses to work! I have changed bulbs and tried to chase wires until I'm blue in the face! The front won't flash, and the rear is real dim. The indicator light on the dash does not come on (left DOES). It's driving me crazy! Any ideas?

Sounds like the switch.

Try cycling the 4 way switch a few times, could be dirty contacts.

You might can remove the steering wheel, clean the contacts.

If it has an airbag, disconnect a battery cable first!

I'd say a bad ground. Probably a ground lug hid inside a fender or somewhere.

I had an Olds 88 do bizarre things once. If you were running down the Interstate and hit the left turn signal to change lanes, the cruise would disconnect, etc. Turned out to be a loose ground lug inside the left fender.

the dim bulb has a bad ground try using a screwdriver to ground the bulb socket with a piece of wire to bumper

For the front not flashing sounds like a broken wire right down by the hinge. The rear sounds like a bad socket or ground. Just a GM put a tongue on it and pull with the tractor for a wagon.

We had a kenworth at work that did that and it ended up bieng the lcm or light control module which was a 2500$ part plus quite a few man hours it wasn?t good

I gots me one of those worthless GM trucks. Powered by Caterpillar too. ;)

Which end should I put the tongue on?

flasher may require two working bulbs to make it flash. The load from the bulbs causes the flasher to function. Fix the rear bulb. And I agree, the problem is with the ground for the rear bulb.

Yeah....I'm a Ford guy, but this truck was cheap, and needed, so I got it....WISH I'd been able to get it 3-4 years before. Has it's quirks, but has been a good machine so far. 3116 Cat in her....
