Haulin' Oats

Took advantage of the warm and sunny day to load up some oats to put through the hammer mill. Used the JD 2140 on the hopper wagon and it handled it fine in the snow. The 62 year old Wisconsin engine on the auger started up on the second pull.

another great video rusty, you don't mind working out in nice weather like that, your new jd sounds nice and looks in pretty decent shape, loaders nice and straight, where did you get it?

Locally owned tractor. Owner retiring and the price was right. Just turned 8000 hours and seems pretty good.

You're a rich girl, and it's gone too far, but you know it don't matter anyway. You can rely on the old man's money...........

What is the galvanized thing on the lower rear of the box? I have been looking for a galvanized gravity box like that.

That galvanized thing is actually a vintage bath tub. I set it up at the unloading spout of the hopper wagon so I can pail the oats out into the hammer mill. Works great. It probably shows up in some of my older hammer mill videos.
