Hey guys, Ive exhausted all avenues up here in canada with my 4430 A/C. Replaced every thing for my system less the condensor and cant keep these reman A6 compressors together using 134A. I have an early model with the flare style hoses (that are new) not the typical hoses that are on my 4240. I'm confusing parts men and there telling me some one has modified my A/C at some point with none oem parts? I'm looking at installing a new sanden compressor made for the deere and just would like to get some help so I get the right parts and company to purchase from. I usaully deal with my local dealers but this is something we just don't have access to un less I get online from down south. I found an old post from newgenjdcollector but cant reply to that old of a post. He has an photo example there that is exactly what I have too complete. Look forward to the input

Try AP-Air 800-806-5312. I was a dealer for them at a prior employer. Good knowledgeable people. I don't know if they sell retail, but if not they can get you to your nearest dealer. They
have a lot of parts for converting to the Sanden style compressors.

So I call AP-Air turns out they have a dealer an hour away from me ! Should be able to have things fixed up nice and early, looking forward to baling hay in a nice cool cab this year !

R134A does not have the same specific heat numbers as R12 so you may not get as much cooling without going to a bigger evaporator. The biggest PITA will be flushing all the "wrong" oil out of
your old system. I sold quite a few of those Sanden conversion kits and guys were real happy with them.

I don't want to talk you out of a sanden conversion its the only way to go... They do make a replacement for the A6 to use with 134A...
Its no kin to a A6 other than looks like a A6... An example.

No mater what direction you go a high pressure cut-out is mandatory... If you are eating compressors you need it ALL are you will continue to have compressor issues...

I never had any luck covering an R12 A6 to 134A it never cooled well are to my satisfaction... AP Air should have all you need to get your system modernized to 134A...

Hey thanks for all the help guys, I'll get my brother to help me with install. He is and Commercial HVAC mechanic and now that I have got the parts sourced. Just to recap so I know
Flush all lines, evap, condensor. (with methol hydrate)
Run some nitrogen through everything
Change TX
Change Dryer
Install new compressor
Put on vac pump (until correct microns)
Then the rest is greek to me John looks after the charging and oil, setting up all limits etc. Didn't know a thing about ac until I bought this tractor 10 years ago and have learnt probably a little to much through failure and rushing into OEM stuff that just wasn't made for the gases available to me. My fingers are crossed and i'm feeling confident. Any other little things still would be appreciated.

Ya and HOBO High pressure cut out is a must, would have saved few bucks and got to the bottom of things sooner instead of finishing seasons with no air if I would have installed when I started having problems.

Replace condenser and any hose that has a muffler/baffle... I am not much of a flusher I replace because you will never flush all the contamination out of it...I doubt any contamination got to the evaporator your call Its rare I do if I do its because I have took the dryer apart found contamination there and at the expansion device...

I take the compressor apart if its clean and no damage and no contamination at the dryer are expansion device no need to flush are replace the condenser...

Folks push flush often its a waist of time and money... If I went there I would ask my AC compressor supplier what they recommend...

I did the sanden compressor conversion and new lines from AP air on my
4430 nine years ago. I had smoked the A6 compressor and decided to do
it once and be done. Everything was replaced except the evaporator and
condenser. Ten years going and haven't even had to add any
refrigerant. I don't think you would regret the conversion at all.
