I need some opinions on this new Holland tn65 I know nothing about new Holland. This unit is up for auction threw the county along with a bunch of other stuff that was left at a house after the owner passed away and no family came forward.

There are no keys able to be found for the equipment so theres no starting it. this unit only shows 726 hrs on it. I belive its a 02 model by the serial #
This sat outside parked not ran for at least 3 years as the paint and seat defiantly show that.
I'm not afraid to work on something as my day job is a diesel mechanic not like I want to have to work on stuff when I ge5 home but will.

I'm new to new Holland all I have are Ford's. What should I be on the lookout for? What would be a good price for something like this the auction goes off the 7th and right now no one's bidding and the bid starts out at 500

Well the tires and weight would make it worth more than $500. Good running ones in about the same condition will usually bring in the $6500-7500 range. This one will be cheaper but still should bring $2500-3500 AS-IS just for the value of the parts. IF you can go look at it in person I would see if you can turn the motor over by hand. I would worry about it being locked with the exhaust being not covered. As for the key that is easy they do not used individual keys. Go to any NH dealer and buy a key for it. Maybe see if you can jump it over not start it, if you can inspect it personally.

I have bought several tractors over the years that had things like this happen to them. The majority of the time they where not damaged too much. If you get it bought HUAL it home without running it. Then change all the fluids/filters before trying to start it.

That could make some nice tractor if it's any good.
We have 2 Newhollands and love them. Parts are at
least as expensive as any other brand.

Check how the exhaust is put together. Some systems you would have to run a hose down it in order for water to get to the manifold, while others every drop will get there.

I have a tn75 I love it running gear seams bullet proof but wiring is another issue built in Italy there wiring sucks

We have a TN55 and it's a great little
tractor and easy on fuel. The down side is
all the electrical trouble, parts can be
pricy, and seems not to have a lot of
lugging power. For the last 10 years it's
not been unhooked from the hay rake.
