Be careful what you ask for, you might get it. The Oliver 70 was ordered in 1942. Grandpa new he wasn't going to get it right away, but wanted to be in line. It was delivered in 1945. Uncle Jim had Molines because one of his best friends was the MM dealer in Oak grove MI (just think Dave H when you go through there next time that there were Moline and Case dealers in Oak Grove). He had that U, a Z and an R. The truck picture is my Grandma, the couple from kitty corner across the street that we used to trade work with. My Uncle Gabe and their daughter on top of the cab. Any idea what year truck that is? Then my Grandpa spreading with the team. The R is for Carvel Minnie, not a family tractor. It was taken a the Gilmore Museum tractor show. As good as the Henry Ford, and Greenfield Village are I think I got more enjoyment out of the Gilmore.

Oak Grove is a small village north of Howell, in Cohoctah Township Livingston County. Elliot's Starter and Alternator is in the old Case garage.

Found out what I did wrong. the file of the picture for Carvel Minnie was WAY too big. Maybe i'll stick to one a day, like John F.

That's a little bit newer than the one Uncle Claude had.

I use Elliot's, and ony them, for all my electric components now. Makes more sense than the shops in the Lyon-Wixom area. All the tractors are out there now anyway except for the SMTA and, knock on wood, it has never needed any work. Nice pictures again. I like the Oil-all-over a lot.

Maybe some day I'll get around to restoring this one,if I ever quit buying more and get back to the ones I've had for ages.

Nice. Serial on ours was 251842. If you think you might need engine parts stock up now continental D series starting to dry up fast.

I know where there is a Oliver 70, that can probably be had for scrap price. I'LL check the next time I go to the VA clinic in Walla Walla, WA

I thought Larry would get the joke. Daffy Duck was a fast talking salesman selling for the Little Giant Vacuum Cleaner Company of Walla Walla Washington.
