It's still February

Mid 70s here yesterday. Let the stove go out for the first time since November. Got a couple tractors out of winter hibernation, drove them around the barnyard, down the road a piece and back. Walked the perimeter of the quarter behind the barn, washed the ole pick up. Sure was nice to be out doing spring things. Supposed to have freezing rain tonight,, yup, it is still February

Same here. Enjoyed the short break. Just on the East side of the freeze line so my precip is water....like most will be wet all week.

No doubt it's not done being winter yet, but the endless stretches of cold and snow are pretty much over. At least around here.

I can hack a day or two here and there. It's going to be March in a week.

Spring is not far off. Bruce's Buddies showed up yesterday in Mid Mi. It would be fine with me if goose season opened up about now.

I love it and hate it at the same time. I'm in western NY and anything above freezing feels good. To long can be a bad thing. It makes me want to break out some tractors and do something but I know there is still more winter to come. If this was happening in March I would probably break out some tractors anyway even though more winter could still happen. Right now there is too much mud to even walk out where my tractors were stored for the winter.

Ya it's still February here in northwest Iowa. 2 above with a slight glazing of ice this morning, was 10 above yesterday. We are on the back side of it though as it was 50 three days ago or so.

Here in southern Indiana we had record high of 80. My mother-in-law is from Texas but living next to us now. She is already wanting to plant the garden and gets mad when we tell her it is still too early. Today it is 40 for a high and rain forecast for the next week. At least the weather here is not like what her part of Texas got yesterday. Down there it is tornado weather.

Normally temperate western Washington has turned on us. 21? this morning, snowed about 5 inches yesterday, more forecast for tonight and into the weekend. Being old retired persons, Mrs. Shoo and I will stumble out to the barn and feed the critters this AM, then back to the comfy house for the rest of the day. Who said getting old isn't for sissies? We can eat out of the freezers for about 2 months if need be, so bring it on!

Yep Temp reached my age and i crawled out from under my rock . It was nice to do the dog walk with out the aid of a Goose Down parka . Now today i will be forced to crank up Bertha , dawn the winter attire once again wwith the old joints letting me know that they are unhappy and stiff .

Ha. Warmed up to 10f now at noon.

Ice and snow hasn't melted off the roads yet, from 2 days ago.

Long, long winter in Minnesota. I watch the Olympics, and wish for warm temps like they have there.....

I did the same thing, Butch. Started three, batteries too low on the JD to start. Been stuck inside for six weeks so it felt good to just get outside. Shoulder is coming back some and I even got a little work done on the E4.

Yesterday and a year ago.
