I have the 1958-9 800's younger bigger brother, a 1963 high tin 830. It pulls my big wood hauler.
Tonight I will give you a history of the 800 tractors.
We are at 56F with sunshine and I am going to get some painting done on one of my projects today.

I'm not 100% sure if it's one of them that's on the shelf or not. I think it is,but my older brothers had one too,and I know one of them was theirs because the casting on theirs was broken and I had to fix it. I want to say theirs is the one with the picker. I put it on there to hide the repair. The one hooked to the combine could well be the one in the black and white picture.

Tractors and trucks we received as kids got worn out playing in the dirt and sand. Rubber tires off the rims, steering wheels broke off castings broke. All at the bottom of the dump or landfill as they are called today. lol gobble

I'm with you Tom. I was the sixth boy in our family and I don't know if I ever had a tractor with all 4 wheels. Still did plenty of farming with them though. ADB

I think I was 9 before I had my first Oliver toy. The Oliver dealer that Dad dealt with sold parts out of his toolshed and he didn't sell toys. The Deere toys were easier to get.

I've got several here that my brothers and I had,but I've had to restore every one of them. Dad used to do all he could to keep them going for us. Brazing washers to wheels, using stove bolts for axles, whatever it took, but they were all in pretty sad shape by the end.
