Case Threshing Machines

I'm calling on some Case threshing machine experts. We've got our Grandpa's 1922 Case 26x46 thresher. In 1922, they were using a wooden cleaning shoe. Of course, after sitting outside, it's entire life, the shoe, and all related wooden parts inside it, are all rotted away. Not even enough left for patterns. Can anybody tell me, with any certainty, whether a steel cleaning shoe assembly, from a later 28x46 thresher would fit?

If one is a 26" and one a 28" they won't fit. Different width machines.

yes true, i have a case machine but dont even know its width offhand.

The cleaning shoe is part of the 46" width, that they both have in common. The feeders are 26" and 28".
