Does anyone know what this magneto would have been on originally? It was on a Farmall h I bought for parts but I thought those were supposed to have the international h4 mag. I don?t have a use for the mag just don?t know what it belongs on or what it?s value is. I believe the mag works as the tractor threw a rod and there?s no evidence of the mag being converted.
Thanks
Dave

The F20 could have come out new with a Bosch mag as an option as i understand but i dont know if the H could have had a Bosch or not. There are Farmall experts that know a lot more about this than me who will chime in.

From reading stories on here I bet you could have a replacement. The old walk behind Gravely mowers had Five different type of mags. Mine has a FM Unit. will chime in that I had an American Bosh starter on my Chrysler van years ago and it was a total piece of junk! Got a Nippon Denso from the junk yard and it was the sweetest thing you could ever want. Your mag being that old is a total different story. Also...If you have a vehicle with coil packs. My Ford Expedition has the 4.6 V8. Had two OEM Ford packs go bad and replaced them with DENZO replacements. Sweet!

American Bosch four-cylinder magnetos were used on Allis Chalmers B, WC, 35, 15-20, and WC.

Also on Case VC, VA, and LA.

Also on Cletracs with Hercules OOC engines. Also HG and GG crawlers.

Also Silver King, Fate-Root 360,440, 540, 640, 720.

Also Inernational Harvester A, AV, B, T-9, W-9, 10-20, 15-30

Also Massy Harris 25

Also Minne Moline UTU and UTS, G, GT, 17-30

Also Oliver 80, 28-4, 28-50

I didn’t notice the flange mount. That’s why we need people with sharper eyes than mine. I bought a Regular that had a Bosch base mount mag on it. The mag wasn’t working so an H4A replaced it. I know I read somewhere that a Bosch could have been on an F20 but maybe it was a dealer installed mag.

Depending on rotation direction most flange mags of 4 cylinder engines are interchangeable if proper lad angle is set.
