Old Car At The Barn

Some video from last fall as I was getting the 38 Pontiac ready to haul home. It has sat for about 60 years and it was a bit of work to jack it up out of the ground and find a pair of 6 bolt wheels to fit. Unfortunately the weather turned against me before I could finish the job so hopefully next spring. Interesting to see the thumbnail photo taken almost 30 years ago and note how much has changed. Barn roof collapsed. Car windows broken and headlight broken off. Grille missing. Thanks to hunters and snowmobilers and assorted "lookie loos."

Another lawn ornament, just fixing it up and getting it running, or a full restoration? A guy's gotta be careful, those projects can get away from a guy budget-wise.

Likely just a lawn ornament. Mainly I want it closer to home where it will be safer from vandalism. Its surprising how things get broken or "go missing" over the years.

I have the same brand of work clothes, Well Worn. Nice old car, worth getting off the ground anyway. Good for you, thanks for posting.

That old parka I wore in the video has seen a lot of use and abuse. Bale abrasion, welding burns, and just general wear and tear. I have a better one I wear for the really cold weather (like today).
