Blind Star With Prince and Misty

Star is not real comfortable yet with his two pen palls after three days. Took some begging to get him to get this close to the fence with them there. It also take a lot of calling him to come in to eat but once he gets in they are all fine. Big deal for him with his mom is gone. The other two has been having the run of the place for two months and don't act like they miss their moms.

You like to rub salt into a wound I guess! :)^D

That is an 1850. I answered an ad from someplace that was selling an Oliver 1850. I called the fellow and he let me hear it run over the phone. We made a deal for a price of the tractor and shipping. A few weeks later it was dropped off at my factory in the night. I didn't go out and look it over for a couple days but when I did the carburetor was gone. Called the fellow and he said someone must have took it off on the way to my place. I dropped it and didn't mess with it for close to a year. Took a carburetor off one of my other 1850's and I couldn't get it to fire up and run. No points in the distributor. A few months later I pulled the engine out and removed the head and pan. I found that I had never heard this tractor run. The crankshaft was bad and it had the wrong pistons in it. The valves were also bad. That was 20 years ago and it has set out back since as you see it. I had the crankshaft ground and ground the valves. I never bought the engine sleeve and pistons or the bearings for it. I tried to pull it out of there last fall but couldn't get the rear tires to turn. I will probly need to bull the brake covers off and pry the brake discs apart. I'll sell it to you as a tractor DIY kit. Some assembly needed. :)^D

I have bought a bunch of tractors and equipment sight unseen and this is the exception not the rule. I blame myself for letting it set for so long without checking it out.

If you loosen the brake covers it'll turn the brakes loose, bad story about the rest for sure.I had a deal once on what was supposed to be a complete parts tractor when it showed up it was missing all the salable parts oh well guess that's the way it goes sometimes.

I was going to ask about the tractor also! I am waiting on a tractor to show up that I bought sight unseen last month. Now I am a little nervous....

good evening dick, I wouldn't blame myself if I where you, you where a man of your word and after listening to a tractor run (seller told you it was the one you where buying) you paid for the tractor completing your part of the sale. HE LIED and stiffed you (the slimy worm crawling scum). you are definatly not alone dick, I have had the same thing happen to me more than once, honest people who believe that their word is their bond are prime targets for lying scum suckers like this guy. but I firmly believe keeping my word and dealing honestly with people is far more important than lying and scaming someone for a few dollars. I also believe that carma will get around to biting this scumbag. what go's around comes around

Well Dick - he doesn't look like he has missed any meals..lol! I'm sure the more you mess with him the better he will get. Lucky to have you. Bob
