Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the blend doors manually if the blend door actuator is not working? Haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but when I change the control from cold to hot I don't hear any noise. Suppose to warm up tomorrow so I will have a chance to look then, just wanted to know while I was looking if I can do it manually so the daughter can have some heat.

. Check for vacuum on the line from the intake manifold into the HVAC system .

not an uncommon problem. more than likely a bad blend door actuator. with the engine off, key on activate the heater controls and listen for any noise. if there is none, or a constant clicking noise, its got a bad blend door actuator. not a real bad job to change. check you tube for the proceedure.

Have the problem on my Cadillac .It was under the kick plate beneath drivers feet. I did not get the part from rock auto but the you tube video did not look too hard.

The repair will be much easier if you have three arms like raw pretzels.
Better yet, have your 15 year old learn how to fix it.
