Back in the early 70's I stretched a 1960 one ton and put a
200 amp lincoln gray machine crossways between the cab and 8
foot utility body . Ran the air comp with the fan belt from the
welder, had fuel , torches and tools in back. It had duals and
a no spin rear , pulled a lot of 4 wheel pickups out of snow
banks and ditches.

Nice rig, lotsa storage AND a workbench.
Back in the '80's I had a Ford cabover, 6V 71 two stacks BRRRRRAPPP, 400 amp diesel Lincoln welder, 2000 lb. boom, air (ran off the welder) but no storage, like it!!!
