What would you do with a 10x20 culvert

Thinking about parking a tractor in it. Has anyone on here done it? What did you use for a floor? Gravel, dirt, concrete or wood? I'm thinking gravel but dirt is free.

I'd be thinking about a way to tie it down in case of a strong windstorm. Don't think a dirt floor would be much good in a strong wind. Take that into consideration when planning on a floor.

I don't think we will get enough wind here but it would be a bad day if it rolled over with a tractor in it.

I could see many things to do with something like that. Root cellar or storm shelter if one would bury it. Even if I used it as a tractor shed I would bury it

Could you bury it about 1/4 way in the ground?

Back fill it with dirt, top with gravel, maybe build a rock berm down each side.

dig a trench oh 2-3 ft deep and around 4-5 wide and roll it in then fill back in on inside for a floor. Be a good general purpose shed.

cut it into thirds the long way and take a strip out, stand up and put a roof on the end to make smaller more garden shed like structure.

cut it in half and build a frame work for under and use halves for roof (could do two 10x 20 separate or 10x 40 end to end).

I'd say that thing is just asking to be a
tractor or equipment shed. As Cory
suggested, bury it about 2' deep and fill
the inside with the dirt you dug out.
Maybe put it in a location where you can
back stuff in from both ends.

hat is the way I'm think of doing it. Cheap and easy. With both ends open I might get two tractors in it or one tractor and my riding mower. For $100 I figure it's a pretty cheap shed. My friend suggested reselling it. I could do that and put the money towards a building but for now I think I will use it.

(quoted from post at 13:32:37 12/30/17) I would split in 2 lengthwise and put the halves on 4 foot walls, one would be a woodshed and the other for machinery!
I have thought about that too. That might be a future project.

What would I do with a culvert that size? If I were seeking a divorce, simply bring it home and show it to my wife !!!!

(quoted from post at 15:06:32 12/30/17) I have been considering getting one and siting it in a trench and burying it to make
storage for apples.

hey have another one that 8x10 but you're probably not near here. I should've brought it home too. Still might go back. Would e great for a small shed.
