First will apologize for this NOT being a tractor related topic; however, there is alot of knowledge on this forum. Maybe some of you can help. I am rebuilding , not restoring, this truck for a friend and trying to find parts for the pickup. Will need brake shoes- wheels cylinders, motor parts etc. Thank you and Happy New Year to All !

Oh how wonderful. first try internet i.e. google Hemmings motor news, old ride.com vintage truck section.
they should offer insights as to where parts can be found.
I have been looking at a 1941 half ton studebaker with no box but apparently complete other wise.
Blessings, you should have a happy new year.

A friend of mine 'restored' an old Studebaker several years ago.He said finding parts was next to impossible. Then he joined the 'Studebaker Driver's Club'. All of a sudden all kinds of parts were available.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Hemmings Studebaker section and like Delta Red said join the club . The club magazine should have rare parts for sale and you will make great contacts for parts.

I will do that this evening.....thanks! I started with Ebay and didnt find much...or nothing for that year.

Yes im sure it wont be easy for this project; want to stay "as original" as I can. Thanks for everyones help!

I tried to join....looks like will take awhile. Does it cost to join? I think....will try again later.

You can have new stainless steel sleeves put in the cylinders at: https://hagensautoparts.com/info
I've used them several times over the years for cylinder re-sleeving, and they also build brake hoses. Excellent service, good price, and the cylinders come back complete and ready to use.

Man I can remember back in 1980 something going to a Studebaker parts warehouse in South Bend.
It was one of the older buildings used to build them at some stage.
Multi stories, creaking wood floors, etc.

You could buy a brand new cosmoleened straight eight engine block and pretty much anything needed for anything they had made for the past 100 years.

You will have no problem finding Studebaker parts. Don Rudolph on the Case site here is a tremendous source of knowledge. I had Studes here on the farm for years and years, finally swapped the 2 big trucks and am sticking with the old flathead Fords, just to have one brand and one line of parts to look for. Drop an email and I'll dig some sources up for you
