Where can I get a new stud for my starter the main
one that takes power into the starter itself. From the
solenoid ? Mini gear reduction starter for a John
Deere 3020

I wish we had a good NAPA they look at you like you have 3 heads If you ask for anything harder than an oil filter for a Toyota Camry around here

That is why when I go to O'Reilly's I ask for one of 3 or 4 people. I have educated those 3 or 4 people over he years to be able to find me the things I need

Hi, are you talking about the copper carriage bolt?
I had a problem with that on a Case 530. When I took the starter apart I could see the copper bolt was burned where contact was made. I just loosened both nuts enough to push the square part of the bolt into the starter so it turned 1/4 turn. Tighten the nuts on it. Now you have a fresh contact point. We have a couple good guys but they are usually busy because they are the only ones people want to talk to !

Well I had to drive 120 mile round trip but the ?local? starter shop had one and even installed it for me and tested the winding to make sure they weren?t grounded all for 20$ which I thought was a pretty good deal

Yes that?s the one I lost the original it?s head was burned anyway but luckily the starter repair shop had one

Well I do have a sort of in to the people I want to talk to. I bring in green beans all summer and give them to the people which in turn when I go in they make sure they return the favor
