Hello to all and a Merry Christmas, I am looking for some help with an ARPS unit, what I want to do is install the tracks around just the rear tires on our Ford NAA instead of tire chains and I need a little guidance on how to do this, I see there is a post referencing doing this but it is to old to reply to, so if any one has done this and can help me I would appreciate it, thanks in advance for any info, Chuck.

They are called ARPS half tracks. You can find them for sale. You will need the tracks themselves and the mounting for the idler tries. So do a internet search and you will find leads.

I've never seen these tracks in person, but seems if you wanted to put it only around your rear tires, that it shouldn't be too big of a problem. You might consider welding mounting brackets to the ends of your track sections for some sort of bolt, or maybe to attach steel cables or chains and have them pulled tight by a couple of small load binders. Possible ideas??

Without the boogie wheels you won't be able to adjust the tension. Don't know if the ARPS has the numbs that go between the lugs for traction and to keep the tracks from walking?
Without the boogie wheels you would have to make them as tight as possible than maybe ad some bungees or chains to keep it from walking.
I remember someone doing it years ago. Not sure if it was on a Ford or farmall.

I would think you need all of it the small tires in front would seem to be the tensioner for the tracks I would think you could not get the tracks tight enough and they would walk off just a thought🛴
