Bout half the family came over today for
Christmas dinner. My sons Nick and Eric
abd their families, daughter Cindy and her
daughter, later my step daughter Chelsey
and her family made too. Tomorrow it will
be my oldest daughter Sonya's house and
Cindy's house again with the rest of her
family who couldnt come today. Dinner was
glazed ham, taters, sweet potatos,
broccoli, and corn. For desert we had
pumpkin, caramel apple and cherry pie.
Not sure how I feel about losing my napping chair tho!

Our house is feeling crowded...and thats a good thing.

Although itt seems like our kids have forgotten the rule about 'Dads Chair' also

Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Jon and family.

Yeppers - the patriarch lost his napping chair here too.
All rules of civilization... out the winder at a Christmas gathering. :)

Merry Christmas all. About ten years ago wife and I made am rule after family dinners like that. We cook it all, the kids & wives wash the dishes. keeps 'em out of my recliner for a while so I can nap.

My wife and I went to our oldest daughters tonight, There was 17 of us. Christmas morning everybody comes to our house for my homemade waffles. Christmas evening we will go to my youngest daughters for dinner. No wonder I gain weight this time of year.

Merry Christmas.

That reclining position is an old standby of mine! Two years ago, I worked until 1:00 A.M., came home, slept about 4 1/2 hours, back at work Christmas Eve morning at 7:00 A.M., worked until 4:00, came home to all my in-laws having supper at my house. Twenty minutes after supper was finished, my sad sack conked out until gift opening time! Merry Christmas to all on this site, may you have an excellent day.

All of these taters were picked during the approved picking window, unlike some OTHER taters.

Our family had ours on saturday. 12 grandkids with 1 son and family from Wash. state not here. Wife still recovering from surgery so I got to do most of the cooking. Prime rib roast with my special seasoning and homemade horsradish, taters, corn from the garden and daughter in law made 3 french silk pies and my christmas cookies for dessert--yum,yum. Like your family Jon, a lot of napping. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum; this will be my first Christmas with out my dad. he passed away in October and now not much family left. oldest daughter flew the coupe years ago and now spends her time with the other family.
But i still have The Boss and the Farmalls so that makes up for some.
The best thing about Christmas now is that I'm not in some far away land where the people there don't like you and are trying to kill you and you cant shoot back.

Yes, spend all the time you can with your family, cause family will fade in time.
