Frugal or cheap

Which one of these would you buy?
For me I am going to buy the roast and cut it into chops.
No way I am paying someone $1.40 a lb to cut the chops for me.

Sad how our population has gotten so far from our roots over the years.

My wife always buys the larger pieces as she cut meat for a living for a while also she likes to cut things like pork chops and steaks to suit herself.

The local supermarket(owned by Kroger now) will slice them for free. I buy several at about the same price yours are and have them sliced for grilling.

Are those bonless chops or do they have the bone in? I buy the loin myself and slice it and I do hafe an electric slicer. More meet with the loin as well over the bone in chops. Some tho think the bone makes a better tast but I don't see the difference. My slicer will not cut a bone to slice a ham like I would like to be able to do.

Frugal is saving money. Cheap is when it ended up with secondary costs that end up costing more than it it was worth in the first place. I have experience with cheap.

We have done that for some time. I cut the ends off for roasts and slice center for chops--most tender part.

We do the same thing , and it's not cheap . It's "Thrifty" , there is a difference.

We bought a loin today, and had it sliced for free. They just asked how thick we wanted it sliced.
