I?ll still love it we had about 4 feet last winter I do enjoy it when it takes all day to move snow

That's an interesting line of thought, I haven't wanted any snow since about 1972 when I got my first snowmobile.

I also love to push snow. It takes about 3 hours to clear 6 inches in the yard and 800 feet of driveway. Farmall H with loader and wing and 743 Bobcat.

Wish we'd get some snow! Just a foot or two would be enough. Last year I put exactly 2 miles on the sled. We had an inch or two so I gave it a few laps around the pasture to be ready for more. No more came. Ice on the river didn't get think enough to run either. Another expensive toy sitting but always hope for next year.

We didn't get much here last year. We usually ride in northern Maine, and there was plenty there, but I got sick after our second ride and got only 600 miles. We should have enough after the storm coming Christmas Day to open the local trails, and the crew that I usually go to Maine with is already talking going next week-end. We usually ride about 150 miles a day.

We got a little more snow last night and today. Probably about 2" total. Didn't have any major snow events last season; will have to wait and see about later this season....but so far it's not looking good.

That?s a lot of snow for the valley here some years I?ve senn it not even cover the stubble in that field we had a strange winter last year it would snow a lot then rain and melt then snow again . You must live at pretty high elevation ?

Didn't get any snow last year worth speaking about. This year I'd be happy if we could get moisture of any kind. Getting really dry here. Forecasters are predicting a possible dusting tonight.

Its supposed to snow here tomorrow night into Monday morning. I'm not looking forward to a white Christmas because that means I will be at work plowing roads while the daughter is at home opening her presents and enjoying them. It could start tomorrow morning and end by supper and I'd be ok with that because I would just work till it was good and be home Monday. Or it could wait till Tuesday and that would be ok too.

You sound exactly like my dad he hates the winter and snow and all that but he can?t afford to leave either

You guys that like snow how do you keep from freezing out in it? I can handle down to about 45F but not much below that. Cannot dress heavy enough for those temps. And how would you like to shovel out a quarter mile drive with the snow 3' deep? I have had to help do that way too often.

Below 10 degrees it gets uncomfortable on a snowmobile, especially if you are on a wide open trail running 60-70 MPH. Most of the time though you are constantly moving on the seat so the exertion keeps you warm. Most people clearing a long driveway are in a heated cab with a window open because it is hot in there.

In our area, there 'is' one instance when driving your snowmobile will actually be warmer than not. It's VERY windy here, and the wind seems to cut right through the layers sometimes. However, if you drive with the wind at the same speed, then they cancel each other out almost completely.

..."My" snowmobile still has the mower deck attached right now. *lol*
