looking at a 1965 MF 150 Nice shape, new paint, like new tires, new seat, hyd. hoses, fluids and filters. has front end loader, everything works like it should, owner is asking 7k. Is price in the ballpark? also posted on MF board. thanks.
 
Does this tractor have a front mounted, hydraulic pump, driven off the crankshaft? If so it may be worth the money. The tractors ?stock pump? will not be a very strong loader, as it will be a low gpm pump, intended to run the three point hitch, or a remote lift cylinder.
 
The ones that say high might be for average but how many a year would it take you to find anouther in same condition. So what are chances of finding anouther in that condition for their price, questionable. And then is it what you want and do you need it and how soon, now or 2 years from now? I think it is what you want or you would not have posted so if can afford go for it as to me chances of finding anouther are very small.
Not a lot of them sold in this part and finding one even junk would be hard.
 
I agree with rrlund, for here where I am it is about double .. Now that being said if that is what you want go for it but for 7 thousand dollars you can have a lot newer tractor. Just not a lot of folks running around with seven thousand dollars to throw at a tractor that old.
 

Good loader tractors bring extra, so if its plumbed with a front pump, that is a good price, and its a good loader. If its a welded up and broke in 6 places loader, no, it would drop to the bare tractor price.


Bluebook on a bare 1974 mf150 could go around 4200 if in very good shape, $3600 in fair shape, but ready to work, minus any needed repairs. Loader if good will add considerably more, but loader tractors can be very good, or plumb wore out, depending on who used them.. For instance a feedlot tractor would be worn out, steering, tranny, motors, hydraulics, you name it, its been rode hard and put up wet.
