Bedroom, living room, laundry room, bathroom, kitchen.
Knocking around inside the house.
One room to another.
Not much to do.
Dark when you leave for work. Work in a room. Dark when you get home. Too cold outside to fix my tractor. Snow.
Could dust my wife's knick knacks I suppose.
Never did learn to darn socks.
Anybody getting sick of those four walls and it aint even Christmas yet?
Maybe roomatism is just a precursor to cabin fever in February and March when being crabby and fighting and raising a ruckus here on the boards is ok. Even expected.
Except now you're still supposed to be Merry about it all.
Even if youre a little bored.
Go ahead and call me deluded or something so I can call you an upstart and a fool
Get a little invective going so the roomatism don't set in.

You just need to get to a warmer climate. All of that cold and snow up there above the arctic circle makes it hard to get out much.

I will tell you, ultradog, if you could play an instrument I believe you might just have a future in writing country songs:^).Dsmythe

Aw-right, I'll do it...

You're deluded. LOL

Get out there and buy your wife a whole bunch more presents.

Great post Ultradog! Merry Christmas to you and the Mrs.

UD -- Don't know if this'll help or hurt, but up here has been a VERY dark (cloudy) and gloomy Winter thus far. I recently ordered a pair of these LED lights to help see in my make-shift Winter shop and BOY-HOWDY, do these things light up the darkness!! They only use 100 watts of power, but....well, they're simply amazing! They plug into any 3-prong outlet and have an on/off switch in-line in the cord. They say the switch isn't waterproof, but the light is.

I liked that one so much that I ordered (2) 50W and (4) 20W lights from the same manufacturer. That 20W light....seems like 2 of those might just equal the light output of the 100W!! WOW!

Now for the bad part: Wife wasn't feeling too well when the first lights came (the 100W'ers) so I carried one into the bedroom and tried it out for her. (No, I didn't blind her with it! ....Well, not intentionally, anyhow. *lol*) Yup, it lit that room up like the brightest of daytimes!! Only problem was, she saw a couple cobwebs and that the ceiling needs painting. ....So maybe it ISN'T such a good idea! *lol*

Your idea of buying her a bunch of presents sounds like a good one Sweetfeet.
I wonder how hard it would be to sneak her credit card out of her purse :)

Maybe some of granny's medicine would cure both problems.

"Granny, you know how miserable you are going down to that still in the winter time.".

"I might be miserable going down, but the way I feels comin back more than makes up for it.".

I have a pretty extensive library. Use the winter to catch up on my reading. Also use the winter to reload the ammo we shot up during the summer and fall. Oh yeah, almost "forgot". Going to remodel the kitchen this winter. (chuckles and grins!)

Don- ditto on the wintertime reading and ammo reloading. Keep hay moved around in the mow so it's ready to throw out when horse customers come. Log pile out behind the barn. On good weather days I block, split, and stack next years' woodpile. About 40% done with that.

Try going "shopping". No, not at the mall. Visit all your buddies who have heated shops, and see what they are working on. Tell them what they are doing wrong, then come back and tell us how dumb they are.

I have something similar; 'Threshold Syndrome'. When I cross a threshold, from one room to another for instance, my memory is erased as to why I went in there until I cross back over.

Retirement sure sounds good in theory, but in reality, those cows will go out of here after I'm dead. If they weren't here to keep me busy my head would explode. Sitting down and doing nothing is only fun if you have something to take a break from.
