I have my Grand Father's IH 1466. What was the difference in the same tractor badged a Farmall??? Just the emblems?? options?? I know that originally the Farmall was the row crop version of tractors while the IH was more of a standard or wide stance model. So in the 60s and 70s what was different?

I lot of cases if its badged International instead of Farmall the International refers to an industrial application not sure if it applies in 1466 series though.

I didn't know there were Farmall 1466. I thought all those later tractors were Internationals. I googled it but they all came up ih.

Ronnie,IH stopped 'badging' tractors with "Farmall" with the 56 series.706/806 etc were Farmall(rowcrop type). The wheatland/standard tractors were 'badged' as International. 756/856(rowcrop and wheatland types) and later were all International. Look closely at the 1466 decal, there should be the word Farmall just below the number. There really wasn't much if any difference.I think the 66 series was the last to be offered in either a rowcrop,or a wheatland version.IH justquit using the term Farmall to describe tractors.I think the Cub was the last to bear the Farmall name in 1975.

All 66 series were badged International with Farmall under model designation on the small decal at the front right and left corners.

Industrial, AND Wheatland,orchard... tractors were designated as International. Only the rowcrop version was labeled as Farmall.

Here is my 1976 triple 6 built in late 1976.And here is my 686 built in 1977.Think 1976 was last year with Farmall badges.

I seen a 666 listed for sale the other day. Never really heard of them before ? Wonder if they sold or still resell many with the "mark of the beast" on them ?

Knew of one when new delivered farm wife said that tractor will not stay here. It was gone very soon. Never put in field.

Let's see some pictures or you don't really have one lol. Always wanted a 1466,real good tractors, that 66 series are.

When we get it out of the shed next spring I will shoot you guys some pictures. It is a black strip one so it does not have the word Farmall on it. My Grand Father actually ordered and had delivered an IH 1486. He hated it. He was shorter and could not see the drawbar. The dealership found a IH 1466 at a dealer in SD and My Grad Father took the 1486 back with just 5 hours on it and traded it for the IH 1466.

That'd be great JD, I'd love to see it. People like the blackstripes more than the regular ones. I like any of the 1466's. I'd like one to put with our 1066
