What are the best aftermarket manuals?

HI all;
I have a JD 1020 and an International 666 that are new to me. I would like to buy a complete set of manuals for each tractor--parts, service, operations, etc. A search reveals that there are many different sources for these aftermarket books.
I have Jensales manuals for a couple other tractors. I have no particular problems with them at all, and used them quite a bit. But they don't have color diagrams for the hydraulics, etc.

I was wondering what source everyone thinks has the best manuals, considering information, color diagrams, price, etc. I am a novice at tractors but I know what a wrench is.
(I'll probably get more opinions than responses 8<)

Thanks,
JimO

Check price with dealer first. I see several people pay MORE on ebay than the dealers sell them for.

An I & T manual will give you some basics but if you need to go in deep get the factory manuals.

I & T might just have one picture from a different angle that the factory that might be just what you need, So get both if you can, Just a bit different wording or something can help you understand things so don't discount the I & T manuals as some don't like them, use them together with orignals.

I&T manuals give enough information to get a guy in trouble. Get the original manuals.

I got one for the jd 60 from peaceful creek manuals ebay stores. It came with the tractor service manual, powertrol manual, powersteering manual, and jd general service manual. Only problem with it is the pics aren't very clear. I've also gotten the jd B manual and the jd two cylinder electrical manual from Davenport Tractor. Very nice manuals you put in a binder (which is what I prefer).

(quoted from post at 17:14:20 12/06/17) It depends on your skill level too.

I'm far from an expert, but I know way more than I need to know to get myself in trouble!

God suggestions all, and I'm following up on them.
Thanks

Not if used correctly. If you need a picture of a part and factory has only left side pictured and you need to see right side and the I & T has the right side how is that going to get you in trouble. And there is updates at times in the I & T manuals that are not in orignal manuals. That is the way it is in the 2 different I & T manuals for my tractor and they are all newer than the orignal factory manual. You need to use them together, one by itself is not enough.

I got a set of Manuals for dad's farmsll regular from jensales. I believe they have a license to reprint alot of Manuals. I agree with others on getting the oem book and I and t.

Try Davenport Tractor they have good manuals, they are reprints of originals and they are very reasonable.

I've had both good and bad luck with Jensales. The common manuals arrive quickly and are pretty decent. Ask for something odd and it may be several weeks before they print it. I've had a couple with smudges in the pics or print that makes life difficult. Pretty expensive too IMO. So, I'm not a real big fan. You can watch Ebay and usually find what you need within a few days.

(quoted from post at 06:16:33 12/07/17) I've bought manuals from this fellow several times and can say he's a very good/honest person to deal with.

Thanks everyone for all the good input.
Unfortunately I have to make a sudden trip, so I can't digest the info and make an order until I get back.

Thanks, again
Jim
