old gas problems

I seen this on here not to far back. It mentioned some additive available at TSC to use to clean the fuel system on lawn and garden equipment. What was it? Thanks! J.

Ditto. Good stuff. Drain all of the old gas first. Fill with hi-test and add a healthy slug of Sea Foam. If any of this stuff can get through a passage in the carb it has cleaned it.

The stuff at TSC is Mechanic in a bottle. Works good to clean out the ethanol mess even though some folks say it's all in our head.

It is all in your head. Ethanol is a solvent. It does a very good job of cleaning out a fuel system all by itself.

Another one I like is Berryman's B12 Chemtool.

Comes in a bottle identical to Seafoam, and might be the same exact stuff for all I know, but so far it's cleared up the engine on my string trimmer, snowblower, lawn mower, and golf cart. After adding it and running them a while, they all ran better.

These are all things I run regularly so it's not like the fuel goes bad and gums up the works.

'START YOUR ENGINE'

I have found that "Gas-X" works wonders for almost any of the various problems that "bad gas" cause. It even works for the most severe gas problems one has. It can be used as a preventative or a cure.
