changed filter and oil still have the problem now they say ''o'' ring on pick-up tube is cracked, any body know about this

Unlikely the pickup O ring is the problem. That was a problem on early engines that has been attributed to the entire LS engine line. I would bet something else is happening. I would be pulling the pan. What is the actual oil pressure?

I have a 2005 1500 Z71 with the 5.3 engine. I had some lifter noise and some odd oil pressure readings. I thought I had some lifter problems but on further inspection the oring on the pickup tube was cracked. The final clue was when I went to change the oil and had only had the engine running for a few minutes. The oil was full of air bubbles when I drained it. Normally I would change the oil after having driven it for at least several miles and the oil was still hot. I changed the oring and the issue was resolved. The oring on the pickup tube is above the oil level in the pan so if it is cracked it can suck air.

Drop the pan and check it are you may find the issue are at least with the pan off you can look for were the problem may be if the seal is good...

An easy way to verify a failed o-ring is submerging the pick up tube in oil. Just add extra oil to the pan, and raise the rear of the truck so oil will move to the front of the pan and recheck pressure
