Went to the glassworks yesterday to work with some glass. The works is on a farm and the owner came in to tell me to pick me some daikon radishes for myself on my way out. Took them home and cut one up in a salad. Pretty mild compared to a red radish. Today I took them over to a friend who shook up a couple in a plastic bag with some carrots olive oil and some spices. Tasted pretty good. Never even heard of them before. The owner of the glassworks just grows them for cover and them plows them under..

They make great sandwiches sliced between two pieces of butter bread

I believe they are also known as "tillage radishes", planted to reduce soil compaction and improve soil?

What I see in your picture I have tried raising as daikon but on my soil they did not do good. They are NOT the same as what they call a tillage radish here, wrong color for one and less that a quarter of size of the tillage radish. I do not know if the tillage radish has a name or not.

I'm interested in any hand-blown or hand-worked glass. If you could post some photos of your work, I'd appreciate it. I'm sure the others would like to see it as well. The radishes are nice, too.
