Did a little disking today the old 370 and ac harrow sections did a mighty fine job of making seedbed in less than ideal conditions 3020 will handle the disc in 4th gear just fine im pretty impressed for a 2000$ tractor that the previous owner and dealer who sold it to me said wouldn?t pull anything as well as all the Facebook experts who told me a 3020 would never pull a disc this size

Very nice and in "other than ideal conditions". I have a lot of that with black clay. Gotta hit it when it wants to be hit or leave it be.

looks like about 14 ft disc , dont see why the 3020 would have a problem, lol.

Well all the Facebook farmers on the new gen page was sure it wouldn?t even pull it down the highway I bought the tractor under the impression the engine wasn?t running right and couldn?t even pull itself and most people on these forums will tell you a 3010 or 20 can?t do anything but gather the eggs whether it?s running right or not

Install smaller disc blade on the very ends of the gangs. That's how they came new.

They were ? That?s a good idea I need to replace the outside discs anyway because somebody put smooth blades on instead of notched

I added that to one of my current discs. The smaller blade, sitting 7" out from the gangs, catches the spillover (but doesn't dig new dirt) from the front bank that the rear wouldn't otherwise catch. Helps to keep the wet dirt off your tires when running in less than optimum conditions and disc dimensions close to tractor wheel spacings....but you knew that....only took me most of my life to figure that one out. Some things just take time. Grin

On solid vs notched, I added solids on the outside fronts to make a mark I could see clearly when going over a field the second or third time. Helps stay the course.

ASC has been good to me in providing the necessary parts to modify my rolling disc equipment.

I just don?t like the smooth discs as well because they tend to slip or not turn the gang as well in tough conditions the left gang on this disc has about 4 smooth discs where the right gang has all notched the one with the smooth discs would sometimes quit turning when the other gang would keep going
