Saw this on the way into town today. Have previously seen it parked farther back on the property--but now it looks like someone is clearing things out. They are asking $3800 OBO. Quick walk-around found loader bucket full of holes, numerous leaks--hydraulic, engine oil, possibly others. All rubber well-weathered. On a more positive note, it had a nice, soft seat. Also some gauges that appeared to be more recent additions.

Built by UTB/Universal in Romania, the only thing AC on it is the rear wheels and loader. I hear they are tough little tractors, parts may be hard to find for them, tho.

Boy, I don't know. Looks like more like $1800 at best. Tires look ok from here but I'd have to hear it run and be able to move for
that.
The more I look at it that $1800 figure is fading fast! Maybe if you already had a parts tractor?

I have one dad bought in new in 77 but a lot better shape then that one. They are 40 hp or so. As the other poster said they are tough little tractor.I would offer them $ 500 for it if it were in my area.

3800 seems a bit high, 500 seems way low, 1800 probably in the ball park. Always start high, you can always come down. gobble

I figured others here would know what this was. Can't say I'm interested as I have a good loader tractor and don't need more old iron in my life right now..,.but if I DID, I'd prob go no more than $1000-$1500, depending on running cond. It's in Elliott City, Md area if there are local Talers interested. I can copy the contact info and pass it on.

TomTurkey, glad you weighed in. Wanted to let you know your signature sign-off "gobble" gets a laugh out of me every time ????????

Actually that era Fiats are about the easiest tractors there are to find parts for these days Import Tractor has about anything you'd ever need, also ebay and a lot of other sellers around too and the prices on those parts are very reasonable.

I have a couple 5040 tractors pretty decent old things but I'd think the asking price is high for sure, they are about the same tractor as the Long 445 and the Oliver 1265.
