I'm looking at a set of rear tires on an auction. They look pretty new but who knows. I don't think they sell that brand amymore. Just wondering how old they might be based on when the co op line went out of business.
Any ideas?
They look like Goodyears if that helps at all.
Thanks

By the way, this is actually a tractor related post. Kind of different for this board anymore :)

I have a pair of Co-ops on the rear of an H. They were on a non-running H that I bought at an auction. I removed the tires and rims, then sold the rest of the tractor. I do not know how old those tires are, but they are very good tires.

Back in the early '80s when Farmland was still a big player, my dad bought a rear tractor tire for his International H. At that time, Farmland had tires with a decent warranty, but they also had a line called the "Farmland 100", a tire with absolutely no warranty. My dad was as tight as they came and he purchased one of these. It still looks about new and we've had no problems with it.

Hi Ultra I'm pretty sure that I put 4 brand new 16.9 x 30 Co op tires on my Ford county 4wd tractor around 2006 /07. The ones you found could be 10 years or more when they were new. My tractor sits out all year and don't get moved much. Those tires are still real nice considering the abuse they get from the sun, as I don't have a storage shed for it.

Got a used set for my Super M, would have rather had a matching Goodyear traction torque but gave up after about five years looking. My father in law put a new set of Co-ops on his 4020 about 15 years ago.

I sold them in the 1970's. But when I went into the tire business full time in 1986 I could no longer find them.

I dont believe they are. My dad always bought Co-op tires at the local place. They always prorated the tires. He bought a set of 13.6 X 38s for the back of the 770 Oliver, which they told him they had a lifetime warranty. That was back in the late 1970s / early 1980s. About 5 and a half to 6 years in, the side wall was cracked through about 2 of the 6 plies all the way around on each tire. When my dad talked to them about it they said they changed the warranty and it was only 5 years. Never bought them after that. My cousins have the same style and theirs is cracked too. If you can lift up the sidewall about 2 or 3 inches up from the bead you can tell if they are cracked.
