Ford 800 Series Brake Parts Interchangability

Hi all!

So, I'm in need of some brake parts for my Ford 820 (The industrial version of the 800 or 801 or something), and I'm having quite a time finding replacement brake parts for it.

I need one new drum and all new shoes, etc. Anyone know if 8N parts will fit it, are the brakes the same? I see plenty of 8N, Jubilee and 2000/4000 parts, but not much for the 800s in the middle. Thanks in advance everyone.

Lanse, the only thing throwing me off here is the industrial model, like an 1800 series, but being an 820, should be the same parts for at least the 800 series, 801 and early 4000 series prior to '65.

You can find all the parts for these brake assemblies,YT has them. I got all of mine from the local CNH dealer that was a ford dealer, for an 850. All are aftermarket by now anyway. New aftermarket drums of Turkish manufacture looked heavier, but one of mine cracked in half when used hard while trying to get unstuck, or so I think. OEM are better material but the aftermarket ones sure looked good, and were not expensive, they would still be fine for what most use these tractors for. My originals were actually still good anyways, so I put one of them back on.

Brake jobs on these are not that bad of a repair, hopefully none of the axle bearing seals are leaking. That will require more work for sure. The part of the brake linkage that fits to the brake shoe, is often worn, requiring to be built up and ground flat, something I don't think you would have any trouble with LOL !

Just to clarify, 8N and Jubilee brakes do not fit 800's. Early 2000/4000 4 cylinder tractors should be the same along with X01 series. And yes, available on this site.
