I was wondering if the block mounting bolts for the bellhousing for a dt407 line up to a d360 i have a opportunity to get a cheep machine but cant find a wreckingyard with a dt407 or is there another motor that i can bolt up insted?

Hello Peter; Welcome to YT! Any reason you can?t tell us the brand, model and name of the ?cheep
machine?? May be clear as the sky to you, but pretty muddy water on my end. Would love for to
help if you provided a little more info.

Don't know about the bolt up . I 'm pretty sure he is talking about the 56 series IH the 8,12,1456 all had the D and DT 407 engine in them.

D 361 uses the same block as the d407 but the dt 360 is the baby version of the dt414/466 Answer you question no 407 and 361 will interchange but not the d360 that is a newer engine.
