Fluid for tube or tubeless tires?

I have a compact JD 1023e tractor. It is very light on the rear with the loader attached. I am wondering if I could have fluid (windshield washer solution?) put in the tires. I would rather not hang a weight on the rear end. Are the tires tube or tubeless? Will either type hold fluid?

Do it. either tyre type is OK it is easier to get a near full fill in a tube type, but really not bad. jim

Unless you can also use wheel weights with the fluid-filled tires, I don't think you're going to get the weight you're hoping for. Would be much more effective to add weight to the 3-pt.

I run 75# of steel on each garden tractor rear tire. I have fluid in the tractors with loaders on them.
And it may be just me but there is no way I am going to hang 500# to 600# from a three point just for counter weight. There is just too many things to wear out, hydraulics, wheel bearings, pivots on the three point.

I filled the rears on my 46" Husqvarna tractor. Works Great! You need
to understand that when you put fluid in your rears the weight is as
low as you can go. It will lower the center of gravity on your
machines by several inches. Mowing on a slope, I am holding onto the
edge of the fender and my rear is sliding out of the seat, and the
mower is still going righ along. As Brenden said 8 gallons or even a
bit more. With both filled you can get a little over 8lbs. per gallon
so we are adding 120 or so pounds. Just remember that the weight is
from the ground up. Not somewhere up on the tractor. Worth filling
them!.

Who says you have to make a weight tank vertical.

Some food for thought.
