I have a Massey Harris 44 Diesel tractor with the PSB injection pump. The tractor has sat for a long time and I made the mistake of trying to start it without checking the fuel filters and lines etc.
When I tried to start it there was varnished fuel in the fuel transfer pump and the pin that holds the drive gear to the shaft that drives the pump gears sheared off Where would some thing like this be available? I got everything from the tank down cleaned up but still need this pin.

While the gear is off think about replacing the transfr pump shaft seal. It is a standard item but I don't have the number to hand ATM.
 
Finely had a chance to work on it again. A friend and I cleaned as much as we could, Everything was full of varnish from the sediment bowl all the way to the pump. No fuel would even come out of the tank. Took what covers we could off the pump and cleaned what we could and everything worked easier after that. The one fuel filter is sealed so couldn't get into that but cleaned the others and ordered new filters. We got fuel to come all the way thru but was slow on the sealed filter. It did start up and run a while but it petered out of fuel. It sounded good while running. Hopefully the new filters will help it continue to run. I never have seen varnish so hard and sticky. I still have some on my hands that doesn't want to come off.

Got a chance to work on it. Got everything cleaned and all parts working freely. It starts and runs great but the fuel transfer pump that mounts to the injection pump is leaking. It is not having an effect on the engine as far as running but would like to quit the dripping. Anyone know where to get parts for this pump (gaskets etc.)? It is a PSB=4A pump.
