Deutz 6806 Hydraulics workings

I have just replaced the O-rings in the hydraulic main control unit, filled with tractor hydraulic oil, on my Deutz D6806 tractor...because I had lost the lift, put a new filter...started it with the cover off but still no lift...can anyone help?, there is a lever behind the seat that pulls out, and could turn? does this have something to do with the system...sorry old tractor
tnx mark

the lever behind the seat stops the hydraulics half way up. the lifting problem could be a valve in the
main control valve. down by your right heel their is a plug that takes a 5-8s wrench then a spring and pull
out a valve on the cone end their is real small hole might be blocked.

All is clear, on what you suggested...
The lever behind the seat, that you say stops the lifts, 1/2 way up... I recall used to turn which it is not doing and I have a feeling is disengaged, as it is lifting up but will not turn?
I have emptied the oil again and am trying to see why...?
Any suggestions?
tnx

did you take the plug out yet do the remotes and power steering work pressure should be around 2500 psi at the remotes

what I am saying is the lever behind the seat, has no problem lifting up, but I cannot turn it, I remember it did turn, (I had no idea what it was for?),sideways and "straight" again..it is in the straight position now and does have a bit of movement I have tried tapping it either way, but do not want to force it?.
Then...I don't think the D6806 has power steering, at least It does not seem to have had power steering?
I would just pump up the front wheels, if the stearing go heavy?
I will suggest it to my Malawian mech, and check the hydraulic pump, I do not know how to check Psi's and things, but will google it...I just cannot find a site that deals with this type of thing.
We are mechanically minded, but have not worked on Agricultural tractors and things before...and without the manuals don't really know what the parts are called?
Thankyou for your input

i am thinking you need a hydraulic pump. all d6806 tractors i ever worked on had power steering. to check the psi get a4000 pd gauge and a quick coupler plug it into the remotes at the back then pull the remote lever. is their 2 steel lines at the bottom of the steering colum going into a flow divder if so it has power steering.

Having problems with the lift...with my Deutz 06..still...have changed o-ring's, new filters, oil, cleaned the "brain" got this from another reply!..Called the "brain" it controls the metering of the hydraulics, from the three-point to the remotes.Cleaned out the hydraulic tank with engine cleaner, rinsed it, now the H-oil has bubbles in it, it was lifting but would not go down, unless I released the pressure, now will not go up or down...have had the H-tanks cover off...to see if I could see anything, suspicious? but am stuck thankyou mark

Thank-you Syco1...i took off the cover and got the lift leaver working...but as i see has nothing to do with the current situation as the arms won't lift or drop?...the definitely does not have steering Hydraulic's,or came out with it?
cheers mark
