I spoke with both. They are both runners, but the Super M has an idle circuit problem. The 350 has a weak PS pump. I need something that will lift 800# about 12-13 feet(trusses). I also have to move about 12-15 yards of soil/gravel around the lot. Then, it'll be doing regular duty as brush hog, auger, etc. Will be replacing a good running 8N.

the 350, it is a modern tractor. a PS pump from a car can be used. a standard live hydraulic pump can be replaced. Jim

I would tend to agree. Also, the tires on the M do not look very happy. That could likely be another near-future expense, and with Winter coming on as well.

Alrighty. 350 it is.

This one just came up. Spoke with seller by email, he doesn't know what model it is. Can anyone help again?

You have not shown a 350. They are much different than an M (which you have in the pics.) don't purchase an M when you want a 350.
Jim

Regarding the 3rd listing you gave. It says has 3 point. Think that means it's a number model, not an H for example, newer !

The tractors shown never had 3 point hitches from the factory. They certainly can have aftermarket 3point added. It would be OK for general use, but it does not make a 350 out of it. Jim

Hmmm, the seller says the tractor in the Denver CL is a 350. I'm glad I checked in here. I'm going to have to call and verify what it is.

Guessing I'll go look at all of them this wknd.

The Denver tractor (and all of them) are Farmall Ms. a 350 is a bit smaller, and has a white grill and white indented panels on
each side. Google them both. Maybe ask to see a picture of the Torque Amplifier and long bent shift lever as high as the bottom of
the steering wheel. A Fast Hitch (not 3 point) would also be expected on a 350. A picture of the serial number would also define
it. Jim

Between the first two web links you have the tractor in Divide has a live hydraulic pump in front
of the distributor which would make loader or hitch usage MUCH more convenient. This pump would
have been added after-the-fact as it was not available when that tractor was new. The Denver
tractor appears to have a "belly pump" which means the hydraulics don't function when the clutch
is disengaged. While non-live hydraulics are certainly usable for the tasks you mention having a
pump that runs continously makes the usage much easier and handier.

Personally, for a "working tractor" (as compared to a "collector tractor") I wouldn't even
consider one without at least live hydraulics. A live PTO is also a nice feature for mower work
but that wasn't available with Farmalls until Super MTA and then the 300 and 400 series. Be
aware that although most 300/350 and 400/450 tractors have live hydraulics and PTO these features
were technically were both optional so don't automatically assume that all these models are so
equipped. Power steering was also optional and seems to be less wide-spread than the live
hydraulic and PTO options. I have a 350 wide front with a loader but without power steering and
although steering when not moving isn't easy the machine is still certainly usable.

A 350 will have its serial number plate on the right side of the clutch housing. Ms will have them on the left. The engine in a
350 will be 175 CID. A number cast into the block near the oil filter will Read C175. an M is 248CID and may not have the Number
on the block. Jim

Since they are all basically the same, I'm going to look at them, and pick the one with the best condition. The third link doeesn't provide much info. I think he's replying on his phone, very brief info. He's interested in a possible trade, and I have a Dodge truck I'm not using that I could maybe trade and save some money. He says the hyd cylinders are leaky, but the seal kit for that piston is readily avail.

My need is to raise the trusses so I need a tall loader, and also something to move that dirt(driveway) for a few weekends. I'm not stuck on Farmall, but I am stuck on a budget of about $3600 tops. Can travel from AZ thru CO, and to the edge of TX, but so far these are the best setup, and not too far from the work site in CO/NM border area.

I didn't notice the tires on the Divide rig, but yeah, that's another $1000 eventually for that job. I do want live hyd as my 8N doesn't have anything of course, and the PTO is a little fun with the brush hog. I was thinking of getting a tall loader for the 8N, but I had a loader on there before, and it was a beast to drive, and not very useful.
