I have been out 3 times since October 1 and see nothing. When I stay at the house, like tonight, I watched 4 across the road. But the neighbor does not want any hunters on their place. Deer know where they are safe. I have 2 cameras out and several pictures of does and raccoons, so far only night pictures. And 2 bucks fighting at 3:30am in the morning.

I use a 1200 yard string tracker. When it works its great. Today was the best it has ever worked. Ran all the string out and followed it right to the deer. You need to make it easily removable so when you practice it is not on the bow. The recoil of the bow will loosen the string in the spool and effect the arrow trajectory. I only have it on the bow when I'm ready to shoot a deer.

I sure wish my buddy that hunts our field across the road would start knocking them down. I turned down a bunch of guys I work with that horn hunt, I want meat hunters to get rid of the things. Way too many here in MI

I am in N.W. Alabama about 1/4 mile from Tennessee river.
Although I see deer every day, this was a rare sighting.
I say rare because there was a total of twelve bucks, no does.
Photos were made about 150 feet from my back deck
I don't hunt anymore but my sons do but not here because it is residential just on the outskirts of city limits.
Notice all have velvet on racks.

Where abouts are you located? I try to get 4-5 a year, but so far this season my Ingham county 40 acres isn't looking too promising...
