The other day Meijer stores had assorted pork chops for IIRC 1.19 lb. They tasted fine.
funny thing was when I was looking at them I thought I wonder what Larry's prices are ! LOL.
I'm in Ohio and I have not seen ads as low as you have in your area.

Just bought a half off of a buddy of mine (really, his wife's hogs). We got a 99 pound hanging weight and paid $136 to the butcher, $150 to the wife. They buy beef from me, so no haggling. Used a new butcher shop that is just in the process of opening near their place. Possible spot to take my cows in the future, about 30 miles closer than current shop. I think they have a ways to go, the cuts were fine, customer service was not, price was higher than I expected.

My niece has 9 to get butchered soon. Feed them lots of garden produce and fruit fallen from trees too. They got to run free range in the woods to clean it out. Getting hard to find places that do hogs anymore. She called soon after they got them as babies to schedule the butchering and they were still booked up and could not get her in until later than she wanted. I bet some will be too big.

Forgot to add I'm sure with buying them and buying feed and paying processing it will be more costly than you can buy it from the store for !

Cost ain't everything. Somebody mentioned on here last year, that he noticed the smell of manure on pork chops from the store, that came from mass produced "feed lot hogs." Something to think about.
