Larger Replacement Fuel Tanks for Trucks.

Anybody out there bought a "Transfer Flow" REPLACEMENT Fuel Tank for a newer truck. Been looking for a new truck, & am very disappointed in the size of the tanks on them. One 1/2 ton had a 24 gallon tank, & a gas engine! This company makes larger tanks for GM, Ford, Dodge Toyota, Nissan, & probably more. A 2017 Nissan with a Cummings diesel is 26 gallon stock. They have a replacement that is 50 gallon. They go up to a 60 gallon for a Ford. By the way the Nissan is a plastic tank. Transfer Flow's is Heavy Aluminum. They claim heavy enough to do away with some of the protective Shielding... which makes more room for fuel! My 2005 Chevrolet Duramax still runs good; but 230,000, & everything electrical seems to be wrong with the vehicle; I'm at the point that its time add a second diesel; but not a 1 ton. It needs a radio, Head light switch, wiring harness, all button on the drivers side door, cruise control, & a few other things replaced. BUT the Engine, Transmission, & Brakes are without a doubt the best I have ever had!

Anyway looking for feedback on replacement tanks, & P.S. Will only buy one MADE In USA, or none at all!

I know a lot of RVers go with the transfer flow tanks and like them. They've really got their product well engineered, and all bases covered.

One thing, they do not make tanks for gasoline engines. Different rules for those. They can do pretty much anything they want on a diesel truck.

You'll get a 24-26 gallon tank on a short bed truck depending on brand. Long bed trucks usually come with a 34-36 gallon tank, again depending on brand. I think GM has a 34 gallon tank on their HD short bed trucks though. Don't have any idea about the other brands.

Like you, I wish my 1/2 ton had the 34 gallon tank. Should be an option.

I had a 02 Tahoe and a 03 Silverado in the shop yesterday my joke was I don't think I could part both of them out and make one good truck...

Both need rear main seals, window switches, headlight switches, paint the paint is coming off seats are worn slap arse out and suspension repairs. One needs cylinder heads both have had the Catalytic converters replaced. One needs a new dash cluster and a few other things. Neither have been abused and both maintained well..

Tuesday I had a 07 Suburban in the shop he's spent a ton of money on it, its got 385K on the clock on its second engine but I am not complaining they pay the bills.. The 07 got all the headlight bulbs its such a P.I.A. to replace them I go get them all...

My stock 14 f150 4x4 extended cab short bed has 36 gal. Nice when gas is $2/gal. I'll need a bank loan if it gets back up to like it was after 9-11.
