OT troubles.

My #2 son (BOB)bought a new John Deer and uses it every week end,and then adversity struck today with bad news for the family. CANCER!!!.Collin cancer. He went into the hospital for a colin check and they found 4 polips.Three was removed and the biopsy was taken and one was sent in to see if it was bad. Sure enough,it was. Now he goes in as soon as the hospital checks his insurance o make sure it pays for the operation before they schedule him for surgery.
We are hoping it is stage one as the survival rate is good for cure and or remission. He is such a swell fellow with wife( my daughter) and a son and daughter both grown
and my niece has 2 children.I was wondering if some of you guys have the same type? Although I'm not the most popular fellow here on Y.T but I sure would appreciate prayers for him.Our family is tight nit and we take care of one another.I lost my daughter to cervical cancer and my grand father with throat cancer brought on by him smoking a corn cob pipe.Wore a spot on his tongue and my Mother (bless her heart) pulled clots from his throat so he wouldn't choke to death. It sure is one hel_of a way to leave this world.I'm asking for prayers for BOB ,my #2 son. Thanking you all and with our warmest regards, Lou & Victor.

Lou I think you will find this bunch sure will answer with prayers, don't know why you think you are not the most poplar fellow but do not let that worry you.. Prayers your way.

Lou from Wis.- I'm here, also had a fight with stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Take care of him and I'll keep him in my pray.

Prayers for you all from here Lou on a speedy full recovery,it sounds like your family has been through a lot already

Prayers in the offering for Bob, for all the family members and the medical staff that'll be attending to him!

I am so sorry to hear of your son Bob's situation. I as other's have said a prayer in hope of a good outcome and a speedy recovery. Make sure everyone takes care of themselves as they care for Bob.

Prayers are sent to give you and your family the strength you need to get through these trying times.

My dad had colon cancer found during a colonoscopy. They removed about a foot of his colon and reconnected it and he went on to live a normal life. That's why I'm a firm believer in colonoscopy.

My dad had colon cancer, lost a section of bowel and everything past that. He got used to wearing a bag, and had over 20 years of productive life after the surgery, passing away just short of 89. Caught early, it can be beat. Best wishes and prayers sent. Ben

Prayers sent and hope for a good outcome and speedy recovery.

We lost an uncle from colon cancer. Since then we all have regular colonoscopies. They would find benign polyps every time we went every 3-5 years.

Then I read about some research done on the very low incidence of colon cancer in India. There is heavy evidence that the anticancer agent is turmeric (an ingredient in curry) which contains curcuminoids. My wife started taking it daily and I take it less often. She has been taking it for the last 5-6 years and when she went for her colonoscopy they found zero polyps. That is proof enough for me. I am trying to remember to put the capsules in my daily pill box.

Lou, you have my concerns...I had colon cancer discovered very much like your son had his discovered. They operated within a few days and removed about 8-9 inches of my colon where the bad stuff got into nearby organs. Later, six months of chemo and now after three years, i am testing free of cancer. So, be positive in your thinking on your son's condition, it might turn out ok. Good luck to you! IaLeo

Will be praying for your son Bob. Certainly hope for the best for him. Just lost my neighbor -- a Vietnam vet, it started out as colon cancer but spread to stomach. Although he did claim exposure to Agent Orange, and smoked and drank ALOT.
