David G: Would you be willing to share the business phone where you purchased the kit to rebuild you oil pump
for your 44 Massey-Harris? I would rather rebuild the original than take a chance on a used one. Thanks

Google Montes Equipment, Chicago IL. They are a Continental new old stock parts supplier. I've purchased parts in the past, they may have the bushings and gear parts to repair your pump.

Yes, it was Monte's equipment

I ground the grooves out of the cover plate with emory cloth taped to piece of plate glass.

The kit contains a stiffer spring that will bring the relief up so it will idle at 40-50 pounds, no need to add any washers, I found out.
