Old I.H. Dealers

There used to be a dealer in Walnut Grove (Ohio, I think) who had been around since the formation of International Harvester. They could provide the most obscure discontinued part you could imagine. Apparently, when the family ran out of heirs interested in continuing the business, Horrisberger Implement closed up for good about '05. Are there any other Case-I.H. dealers who have been around that long that might be hoarding discontinued parts?

There used to be one in Bullard Texas. The last time I saw it was 8 years ago. Owner died a few years before that and they just locked the doors. Was still full of items for sell when I was by there. You could have unlocked the doors and started selling again.

A little ways from home but the Empire Tractor location at Cazenovia, NY was an IH dealer going back many decades. The family is partnered into Empire Tractor but I never bought anything there as it is a distance from home so I don't know how much old stock is there. Lamb and Webster at Springville, NY goes back to around 1960. When the Case IH merger took place a lot of long time IH dealers got closed around the Finger Lakes and Western NY. Some had auctions and cleaned the building out and there have been runors that some having remaining inventory. I don't have any names for that.

I heard the one up in Sterling Ohio pitched a bunch of good stuff years ago so I doubt they have anything really old left ?

Ina Store in Tustin Michigan. Started in the back of the general store. I know a guy who got a drive belt for a model 52 pull type combine from them not too long ago.

The dealership you speak of is the Lucas family in Cazenovia. Ron and Mrs. Lucas have passed on but Bob and Jimmy are still there. I was at the 100 year party that they had for being a IH Dealer for 100 years and that was most of 20 years ago now. I don't know if they have any old new parts or not. Jimmy has a mess of old M's H's C's A's and so on and I think they are all stored inside. Will he sell them ? I wonder. LOL >> Old Scovy <<

I thought that they predated IH but was not sure. IH came together in 1903 as an effort by JP Morgan along with the McCormick's. I am not sure if they handled McCormick or Deering or both before that happened.

Augusta Farm supply in Augusta,Kentucky. It's about 45-50 miles s.e. of Cincinnati,Ohio. They're still in business,no longer an official IH dealer, but can get new IH parts, and they have many, many NOS parts for equipment and tractors.Mark

There is one over in Valley City ND, was IH but is not CaseIH. They have some NOS parts but the guy is kinds high on parts.
