Wow! I went to the shop today and this guy was
flying into the windows and knocked him self silly. I
picked him up in a towel and set him where he
could get out . Soon he flew away .

School of hard knocks. We've had alot of hawks out here compared to previous years (Red Shouldered Hawk). Many young ones in the spring chasing each other. I love to hear them and glad they are around. Also see them hunting along US 340 which I've never seen either.

Not sure what kind of hawk it was, but was working in the yard yesterday when a Blue Jay started going totally NUTS in a Spruce tree. I looked up and, just at that moment, a hawk just barely cleared the tree top. It saw me and didn't come back, but boy, do I wish I could make a printout of the image in my mind! *lol*

That's a cute little thing. I remember watching some videos a while back of a hawk that sorta took up with a cab driver near Houston during Hurricane Harvey. It was really awesome....at least, until he turned it over to "the professionals". Seemed like the hawk was better off with the cabby. There's something like 9 videos about the bird.
