Into a nail gun, dewalt d51822; 3 orings turned to jello and sent it throughout the gun. Mess to clean up, new kit ordered. First mistake, failed to take pre photos, surely a diagram will come with kit.

Yes, seen that before. I don't know what the oring material is, but it just decides to melt with age.

Had to replace one in a brad nailer on the trigger. One day it was working, the next all it would do is hiss.

Use the recommended oil in the gun. I have been told the oil you use in your impact wrench is bad for nail guns by a dealer.

First mistake was buying the Dewalt, should have bought the Hitachi NR83A series tool. I sell both, Hitachi almost bullet proof. What type of oil do you use? Have seen people use compressor oil vs air tool oil or something off the work bench that will jelly O-rings.

purchased about 12 yrs. ago when dewalt was well thought of. only use it for home projects by self and sons. as to oil, I did use pneumatic tool oil.

"52 Chevy 5 window? send us pictures of that. Forget the nail gun. That's too much like work.

My wife rebuilt a DeWalt framing gun for her cousin. Ain't no telling how many nails he had shot with it. Cheap easy fix. My favorite nail gun ever is the 20 volt DeWalt framing gun. Well worth the money! Use it nearly every day.

Meant to ask ,did you find a place to buy rebuild kit? Dunno where my wife got the one she used. Online somewhere
