Minneapolis moline Z gear lube

What brand Gear lube is best for all weather 80-90 and if so whats the best place to get it Walmart,TSC, etc? Need some for my Z and was going to go with 140 but price is $$$😯

IMHO,any brand is fine for that. buy where ever it is handy.

They started out, all makes with 140 and found out that it did not work good in colder climates so that is when the change was made to the 80-90. In the cold climates sometimes the tractor could not move with that heavy stuff. So be glad the 140 was too expencive as you will be better off with the 80-90. Cannot say anything on brand. My Moline was a U with mostly Deere 2 cylinders.

I have found straight 90 somewhat cuts down on gear noise on the tractors that are howlers. It's stiffer in cold weather but I don't use them when it's terribly cold anyway. I've never tried 140.

Yeah i went to TSC bought some of there travllers 80-90 brand. Run me $125.00 so wasnt to to bad i guess better than what was in it ha.
