It's all a matter of perspective!

"Every morning in Africa, a lion awakens knowing that if he doesn't run faster than the slowest gazelle on that day, he will starve".

Sort of like the story of the pig and the chicken discussing the next day's breakfast. They both thought ham and eggs would be a good choice. For the chicken, it would be a contribution. For the pig though, it would be a commitment !!!
 
I think the rest of that is:

It doesn't make any difference if you're the lion or the gazelle - you have to be ready to hit the ground running!

I worked at this big manufacturing company where the manager would always use that analogy (in his monthly state-of-the-business speech) as 'the law of the jungle' and how 'it was a jungle out in the business world'. We didn't have the heart to tell him that 'The gazelle knows it only has to run faster than the slowest gazelle'.
