The only thing I can tell you is I have an engine made by them. It's a Cat/Perkins/Shibaura. It's in an ASV RC30 mini track loader. Same engine used by Ferris in their biggest zero turn mower, until they had to quit using it because it didn't meet emission standards.

Shiabaura built for Ford/New Holland for several years. Good solid dependable tractors. Then LS took over and they went to sh!t.

Guys have been having major problems getting parts for the 70s-80s Shibaura built Fords.

There are probably more SHIBAURA tractors around than you realize. I have a mid
nineties FORD/NEW HOLLAND (both names appear on side panels) 1530 manufacured by
SHIBAURA. This tractor is the first appearance of the well known Boomer series
built for next 20 years. It is a well designed tractor and is an excellent
performer. If needed, I would certainly buy another.
